    CEO, Founder

    Dustin is one of the co-founders of Seven Interpreting. He has an unrivaled passion for advocacy, accessibility, and the Deaf Community. He is a serial entrepreneur, and with the help of his amazing team has led Seven to 100% growth year over year since its inception. He has spent his whole career in service to the Deaf community doing whatever he can to support the mission of equitable access for his community. In his off time you will find him playing volleyball, or spending time with his twin boys.

  • Sheila Mariezcurrena

    Director of Operations, Founder

    Sheila ("Shay-la") has been a part of Seven since its inception. She is involved in every aspect of the company—from onboarding and scheduling to marketing and business development. Sheila takes pride in the work she does and will continue to do her part in making spaces more accessible to all. In her spare time, she loves the quiet moments in nature; and the comforts of home and family. She also loves traveling and hopes to become fluent in a few more languages.

  • Sydnie Pelloni, EIPA

    Staff Interpreter

    Sydnie, a San Diego native, has been working professionally as an ASL Interpreter since 2020. She holds an Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) and is known for her upbeat attitude and strong work ethic. Sydnie loves connecting with people and encouraging them. When she's not working, you can find her enjoying family time, hosting game nights with friends, cuddling her ragdoll cats, or traveling. She's also passionate about mental health advocacy, believing in the importance of well-being for everyone.

  • Valerie Perez

    Staff Interpreter

    Valerie has a passion for accessibility and inclusion. She is an Interpreter of Color, a member of the invisible disability community, and an LGBTQ+ ally. Valerie has worked for the Office of Disability Services at Western Oregon University, was an apprentice at RIT/NTID, and is also a video relay service interpreter. She has worked with the DeafBlind community and was trained by DeafBlind ProTactile leaders. Valerie enjoys camping, going to farmers markets, and training with her new service dog.

    Scheduler

    Stephen Patch is our dedicated scheduler with a passion for effective organization and communication. With a degree in Deaf Studies, he is committed to inclusivity and accessibility in all aspects of his work. Stephen is a proud husband and father, and in his free time, he enjoys exploring the great outdoors through camping, fishing, and hiking. He values quality time with loved ones and cherishes the opportunity to create unforgettable memories with friends and family.

  • Amanda Cowie

    Lead Site Coordinator

    Amanda is a dedicated provider of on-site assistance and accommodations for Real-Time Captioning Services. Proudly identifying as a member of the Deaf community, she finds joy and gratitude in her unique experiences. Beyond her professional endeavors, Amanda teaches courses for families at Deaf Community Services and expresses her creativity as a digital artist and designer. Fueled by a passion for learning, she spends her free time researching, reading, and studying, while also indulging in artistic pursuits such as drawing and exploring her favorite fictional characters.

  • Torrey Stouder-Studenmund

    Local Test Administrator & Scheduler

    Torrey received both their Undergraduate and Masters in Social work from San Diego State University with an emphasis in direct clinical practice with a Minor in Counseling & Social Change. They are passionate and committed to working towards more accessibility for the Deaf community. They work to connect community organizations with the resources they need when serving Deaf/Hard of Hearing clients. They love all things nerdy and geek - with ridiculous amounts of time spent watching movies, reading books, and binging shows.

  • Evanish Mariezcurrena

    Executive Assistant

    Evanish Mariezcurrena (“Eh-Vanish”) is a dedicated, hardworking, optimistic, enthusiastic, and kind individual known for their creativity and perfectionism. As an Administrative Assistant at Seven Interpreting, they bring meticulous attention to detail to every task. With a commitment to excellence and a warm demeanor, Evanish loves the beach and being in nature. She also cherishes spending time with loved ones and has a deep affection for animals.

  • Hayley McBrien

    Staff Interpreter

    Hayley is a nationally certified ASL interpreter who has worked professionally for 10 years. Her journey started with an ASL 1 class in high school that ultimately led her to graduate with a BA in Deaf Studies from California State University Northridge with an emphasis on English/ASL Interpreting. She strives to give 110% of herself to ensure access is provided and is never one to back down from the challenge of trying something new. Hayley very much enjoys her home comforts with her husband and dog Amber.
